My take is neither party is good for America. That view was shared by none other than our first president. Read George Washington's farewell address. Everything he warned us not to do we are doing. Regarding Ron Wyden who do you propose we vote for? I agree that Wyden and Merkley are horrible senators in that the voice of the people is silent in their ears. They only hear the voices of their party and special interests with campaign contributions.
The point is we need to stop being against Wyden and Merkley and start being for independent candidates. We must find people WE want in congress rather than accepting the offerings of the parties. The parties will never offer candidates that will represent the people. It's this simple, we are told that if we do not vote for a Democrat or Republican we are throwing our vote away. The truth is when we vote for a Democrat or Republican we throw our freedom away. Democrats and Republicans are loyal to their parties not their nation and its people.
Let's find candidates willing to run for office that are independent of the parties. We must give voters a real choice between liberty and tyranny, choices the parties will not offer. I want to see your list of candidates to replace Wyden, Merkley, Walden, DeFazio, Schrader, Blumenauer and Wu. None of these politicians represent the people and they all need to be sent home.
Post a list of candidates you are FOR rather than just telling us who you are against.

The citizens of this nation would all be better off if the five or six hundred lawmakers would just GO HOME! STOP DOING ANYTHING! It is so maddening, frustrating and hopeless to think any of you will ever change.
I no longer have any trust in this government. You (all of you) throw our money away because you aren't sacrificing! We need a third party - I am now an independent.

I would like to buy Mr Wyden for what he is worth as a representative of the people of Oregon and sell him for what he thinks he is worth. I don't know what I would do with the enormous profit, who knows maybe donate some to the US Treasury to pay back the enormous debt he has helped to create. Since his first election to Congress our national debt has increased by 1000%.
Also, don't forget he is a California transplant, he has just been following his own agenda all his adult life using Oregon in the process.

I'm so sick of being sold out in favor of special interest groups. When will politicians take interest in us? Ron Wyden epitomizes the sellout the working class mentality that is so pervasive in DC. If we can get rid of Wyden, maybe we can start to whittle away at the corruption that has our country in such a sad state. Goodbye Senator Wyden, you won't be missed and take David Wu with you!

Wyden demonstrates only a purist desire for lock-step voting patterns aligned with his party's agenda. This all flies in the face of all Oregonians, regardless of party. With the mounting evidence of the economic burden, which outweighs the economic benefits, that illegal immigration poses, one would think that Wyden would use wisdom, prudence, and good judgment to help shape American politics tending toward economic prosperity for all American people, including his constituency!
When will elected officials begin to lead? Are they not our elected leaders? Instead they follow. They follow what is viewed as popular. They follow the lead, and direction given by special interest groups. Instead of being leaders, they cower to those that they think will keep them in office the longest! Where is the respect for laws that are on the books now?!
Ron Wyden, you are hereby called, SUMMONED, to hone up to your responsibilities to the laws of our land, to your constituency, and to true guiding principles that take government encroachment out of our lives!

I consider Ron Wyden nothing but a traitor, even more scary than Nancy Pelosi. At least she doesn't even hide her preferential treatment of the illegal. Where are the rights of the US citizens???? How dare he suggest that we give away our already disappearing Social Security to the illegal, when they have not earned it. Someone please get him the *&$%&% out of office.

This is pure arrogance and great example of yet another politician who talks out of both sides of his mouth... one side to get elected and the other to tell us all the reasons why it's not possible to follow through after the election. Maybe it's all the wooing from the Open Borders Lobby or pressure from the left or simply being blinded by influence; but it takes more energy to perpetuate a lie than it does to keep a promise.
With double-digit unemployment and the CITIZENS of Oregon daily threatened by the criminal activities of illegal aliens... E-Verify is the very LEAST he can do to reduce the fall-out. Senor Wyden needs to stand by his word and do the right thing for "CHANGE".

Senator Wyden and others like him care nothing at all about "The People" who have elected him. He, like most other Democrats are seizing the moment to exploit our laws and make as many Illegal Mexicans "legal" as they can so they can immediately be registered by Acorn as Democrats to vote and cause a catastrophic collapse of the Republican Party. There is no such thing as an Illegal Immigrant who is not a criminal.
